Photos from the Mars Curiosity Rover

NASA's Curiosity rover and its parachute are seen by NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter as Curiosity descends to the surface around 10:32 p.m. PDT, Aug. 5, or 1:32 a.m. EDT, Aug. 6, 2012. The rover is equipped with a nuclear-powered lab capable of vaporizing rocks and ingesting soil, measuring habitability, and whether Mars ever had an environment able to support life.

Over a year after being launched on its mission to the red planet, the Mars Curiosity Rover continues to document the Martian landscape.

Its not one year after, it only landed there this year (2012)

You can tell that water came from under ground just above that flat top, and ran down. Unless some one can explain that smooth area . Would like a professional respond if there is one in Science. like from those Professors that study geologist.

These photos from Curiosity are so cool! Amazing how far space technology has gone! Will man conquer the solar system and send people to Mars in the future? At the moment it seems highly possible! Good luck, Curiosity!
