Amazon founder Jeff Bezos suffered a setback this week when U.S. officials ruled against a protest filed by his space company Blue Origin over rights to a NASA launchpad.

Blue Origin was competing with another private company, SpaceX, started by PayPal cofounder Elon Musk, for rights to take over maintenance and operations of a NASA launchpad at Florida’s Kennedy Space Center, reports Reuters.

Before NASA finalized their decision, Blue Origin filed a protest with federal officials, which was formally rejected by government arbitrators on Thursday.
